Companies we love
Abercrombie & Kent.: A&K pioneered the original mobile safari nearly 50 years ago, but now go to amazing places throughout the world, whether it’s a beach, cultural or wildlife holiday you are after. They look after you in fabulous style with the little touches that make a difference - from room upgrades to slices of lime for the sundowners. Their guides are renowned as the best in the business and look after you brilliantly – but I also really like their commitment to supporting local projects and charities in over 30 of the countries they operate in. www.abercrombiekent.co.uk
Benj Lewis : Benji Lewis is my reference point for all things interior design. Working between London and Biarritz, on each project he nails the art of creating an atmosphere that is both chic and glamorous without losing the comfort factor - (a bit like my flip flops!) He's highly trained at what he does and unsurprisingly has an increasingly strong client base. Form a queue! www.benjilewisdesign.co.uk/
Claudia Bradby Real Jewellery: stunning jewellery in a good price range. Often limited edition, but always made from real stuff and of a very high quality. Claudia has exquisite taste and has seasonal ranges that are pretty unique. Lately has designed 'the necklace from the book' for Shopaholic author Sophie Kinsella, a gorgeous dragonfly pearl pendant. Great for presents and also (if you are anything like me) great also for the odd treat to yourself !! www.claudiabradby.com.
The Coral Reef Club: is my favourite hotel in the world! Set within 12 acres of lush tropical gardens on the famed west coast of Barbados, this exquisite family run property is truly in a league of its own. The charming style and refined elegance for which it is so well known carries through from the architecture to the beautifully decorated interiors. Their food is unparalled, as are their world famous rum punches! The only thing that can tempt me away from the crystal blue Caribbean Sea is a visit to their sensational new Spa, an oasis of tranquillity and sheer beauty. Their highly trained therapists pamper the body and invigorate the spirit with an array of heavenly treatments and rituals. The pinnacle for me however is a full body massage for two in the open air pavilion nestled in its own private garden with humming birds, banana trees, water feature and all! www.coralreefbarbados.com/
Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare - has the most wonderful skin care range – I am now totally addicted to nearly all her products!. They are passionate about everything they do and create products that really work on every skin type by harnessing the potent powers of the finest quality naturally active ingredients. I can’t live without the award winning ‘Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser" and check out her great new perfume. www.lizearle.com
Scott Williams - offer you the most unusual holiday houses that no one else knows about. They pride themselves on the new and the unusual: a whole village in France, yurts in Andalucia or a glorious Aristocratic home on Corfu. Sleep out in a tipi in Ibiza or rock with the celebrities in a wow house in Paxos. They have some really special and unusual properties (in fabulous locations), and are lucky enough to be friends with most of their owners, so they can afford to be very flexible...
