Tribal Gathering
Some things (traffic wardens, freeloaders, irritating bosses) are easy to find. Others (true love, parking spaces, decent beaded sandals) are not.
Whilst the sun’s still out, the long-term relationship can wait. Stylish footwear, however, cannot. Straight out of Africa, Aspiga’s hand-beaded flip-flops are the kind of shoes you’ve spotted on well-travelled friends but never knew where to find. Until now.
Every style (there are lots) is comfortable, durable and charitable — during August, Aspiga will donate £1 to the Brydges Centre orphanage in Nairobi for each pair sold. There are also capacious reed beach baskets, vibrant kikoys, leather belts and beaded dog collars on offer.
Of course, if you’re after a truly authentic shopping experience (and have the funds), you could hop a plane to Africa.
But that anal-retentive control freak of a boss will still be there when you get home.
