THE POSITION: ECOMMERCE ASSISTANT
We are seeking a talented Ecommerce Assistant with at least one year of experience and proficiency in Shopify. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and commercially aware, with a passion for digital retail and sustainable fashion.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Management: Manage day-to-day website product updates, including stock availability and inventory across all platforms.
- Website Updates: Work with internal teams to update navigation, banners, landing pages, and promotions, ensuring alignment with key marketing messages.
- User Experience (UX): Collaborate with the Ecommerce Manager on UX and development projects to optimise the user journey.
- Visual Merchandising: Organise product categories based on stock levels, best sellers, and customer behaviour.
- New Collection Launches: Prepare the site for launches, including bulk uploads, collection creation, product tagging, SEO optimisation, and crafting product descriptions with the design and production teams.

Campaign Support: Assist the marketing team with campaigns by creating collections, email assets, banners, and other campaign materials. Proficiency with Canva is a key requirement.
- Graphics Support: Design and create banners and other visual assets for the website, ensuring brand consistency.

Competitor Review: Conduct weekly competitor reviews to stay informed of competitor movements and identify opportunities.
- Sale/Discount Preparation and Analysis: Support the preparation of sales and discounts, and assist in post-sale analysis to evaluate success and identify areas for improvement.
- Digital Marketing Support: Collaborate on online marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media promotions, and pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, to drive traffic and sales.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Implement SEO best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimisation, and improving product visibility and search rankings.

Performance Reporting: Generate weekly and monthly sales performance reports.
- Content Creation and Management: Develop and manage engaging website content, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse website performance metrics, sales data, and customer behaviour to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.

Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, ensuring products are in stock and appropriately categorised online.
- Website Maintenance: Ensure the website is up-to-date, user-friendly, and functioning correctly, collaborating with IT or web development teams to resolve any technical issues.

Compliance and Security Monitoring: Ensure the e-commerce platform adheres to legal standards and best practices for data protection and security.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in ecommerce/digital marketing, ideally within the fashion industry.
- Hands-on expertise with Shopify Plus.
- Familiarity with Canva, SEO, Google Analytics, and performance marketing is a plus.

- Strong analytical skills to leverage data for decision-making and identifying opportunities.
