Our Mission
We all have the power to inspire a better world.
Our mission is to work responsibly with our suppliers towards a more socially and environmentally conscious future, putting people and the planet first. That’s why we only partner with ethical suppliers, use the best sustainable materials and design beautiful, contemporary and stylish pieces that are intended to last.
We give back through charitable community initiatives that help fight social and environmental injustice today for a fairer tomorrow. In short, everything we do comes down to three things: doing right by people, the planet, and supporting positive change.
Every decision we make is geared towards minimising the impact we have on the planet
From our production processes, to the materials and chemicals we use, the packaging we choose and our commitment to reducing and offsetting our carbon footprint, we are always looking for new ways to reduce our environmental impact.
Fair wages and safe working conditions are non-negotiable for us
We are a fair and authentically ethical fashion brand who partners with artisans and suppliers, including in Kenya and India.
By working with marginalised communities, we help stimulate their economies and empower them so they can sustain their livelihoods and thrive.
We make sure our suppliers meet ethical business standards, and sign our Code of Conduct, to ensure that everyone in the Aspiga family feels respected, earns a fair wage and has safe working conditions.
We are proud to have consistently supported Kenyan and Indian families
Over the years, we have provided financial support to some of our small suppliers, enabling them to buy tools, build workshops, and expand their business.
We provided our supplier, Eunice with a loan to enable her to buy an expensive piece of equipment to cut the soles of the sandals, which previously had to be cut individually by hand. Not only has this saved time but it has also allowed Eunice to take on much larger orders from both ourselves and other companies. Many years later, we are proud to still be working with Eunice.
We are proud to have consistently supported Kenyan and Indian institutions, where many of our original suppliers are based - we wouldn’t be where we are today without them.
