INTRODUCTION
Aspiga is a leading ethical contemporary clothing company creating wearable, stylish and timeless collections for women and men using sustainable and organic materials. Established in 2006, Aspiga is a responsible fashion brand that continues to lead the way in putting people and our planet first. Aspiga partners with artisans and suppliers, primarily in Kenya and India, to create stylish clothing collections using natural, organic and sustainable materials. Having started as a wholesale business, Aspiga expanded into the online retail space before opening its first shop in 2019. Since that success, we have opened further sites with Trebetherick being an important member of the Aspiga retail family of shops.
THE ROLE: Retail Assistant, Aspiga Trebetherick
We are looking for a Retail Assistant to work alongside the Store Manager in Trebetherick to deliver excellent customer service and deliver on agreed performance targets for Aspiga. The role requires confident communications skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers. The Retail Assistant needs to be perceptive with an eye for detail, flexible in meeting the demands of the business and enthusiastic about sharing our passion for sustainability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Support the Store Manager to ensure that all sales and profit targets are achieved.
● Ensure consistently high levels of outstanding customer service, working to specific brand guidelines
● Proactively engage with customers to increase conversion and provide positive experiences of Aspiga
● Assist the Store Manager with stock takes, reviewing best sellers and providing feedback to pass onto Head Office
● Demonstrate current knowledge of Aspiga’s values on sustainability and ethical fashion in terms of materials used, production processes and packaging practices
● Actively drive commercial opportunities and look at innovative ways to market the shop locally
● Represent the brand’s values, adhering to company procedures and policies
● Promote marketing materials and ensure customer names are signed up to the email database
● Product fulfillment, sending stock to customers
● Ensure that company and brand standards are maintained and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines
● Provide flexible support to the Store Manager to fill gaps in the Staff Rota as required
REQUIREMENTS:
● Experience in contemporary fashion or luxury retail management if preferred
● Commercial acumen and confidence in supporting target driven goal realisation
● Excellent communication skills with the ability to share the brand story and connect with our customers
● Ability to build and maintain good working relationships within the business and with external suppliers
● Resilient and flexible attitude, able to work under pressure and adapt to meet deadlines
● Comfortable with independent working and responsibilities
● Capable organiser with strong attention to detail
● Proficient IT skills with experience of using the Microsoft Suite and Google Meets/Sheets
● A proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving
● A respectful and professional manner at all times
