THE POSITION: SENIOR MERCHANDISER
We are recruiting for an experienced Merchandiser to join our team responsible for maximizing sales and profit, responsible for stock accuracy, ensuring optimising full price sales whilst minimizing markdown. You will work alongside the
Buying team and manage the Allocator, developing and motivating them as well as setting excellent levels of accuracy and decision making.
Skills must include analytical, trading and pure merchandising skills and ability to work within a fast-paced agile buying team.
Reporting into Buying Director you will be responsible for planning each season’s collections, agreeing ranging assortments across multi channels including shops, marketplace and wholesale. Supporting the brand to deliver growth in the Uk and International markets.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Weekly Stock Sales and Intake forecasts (WSSI) at seasonal and key category level and review in season stock opportunities and risks in line with forecasts to maximise sales and reduce stocks i.e. OTB management, recodes, cancellations, repeats, phasing, new promotions or campaign
- Provide weekly summary of key performance indicators within departments of responsibility relating to sales, stock, profit, and markdown versus budget and last year
- Manage NOS and Key Line cards ensuring good availability on all continuity lines
- Manage Allocator on the department, monitoring performance and identifying training and development needs
- Derive the Seasonal Category and Option Plans by channel / market to deliver the Brand’s Objectives and KPIs
- Establish Range plans for all markets, Online, Retail, marketplaces and wholesale, setting monthly targets for sales and margin
- Provide seasonal stock reports to review all stock, carry over, continuity and new ensuring we have exit strategies for all terminal and sale stock.
- Weekly reviewing in season opportunities and risks, ensuring OTB, and strategies are being followed and flagging re-considerations, taking into account notify me orders, pre orders and demand forecasting.
- Working with the production team to ensure seasonal orders, and in season repeats are processed and accurately input on the ERP system

KEY ATTRIBUTES – we are looking for someone with...
- Previous experience as Merchandiser, preferably within a small /medium sized womenswear environment.
- Interest in slow sustainable fashion
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to react appropriately to in-season trading.
- Knowledge and experience planning and trading your own department, including forecasting and OTB management responsibilities
- A high level of computer literacy and an ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure are essential.
- A proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving is also essential.
- Attention to detail a must
- Confidence and presentation skills.
