Inspired by the craftmanship from a trip to Kenya in 2005, Lucy knew right away that she had found something truly special that needed to be shared with the world. Aspiga’s first collection of Kenyan sandals was an instant hit and they continue to be a bestseller today. By supporting local artisans from the very start, Aspiga is proud to have driven positive change both across the business and beyond.
While our in-house team of designers are based in our offices in Battersea, London, they continue to work closely with our suppliers across the world. From craftsmen and women in India producing beautiful block-printed fabrics to Kenyan artisans producing one-of-a-kind hand-beaded belts and sandals.
At Aspiga, we're constantly on the lookout for innovative ways to reduce waste and promote a circular approach to fashion. We currently upcycle and repurpose fabrics, offer a UK wide repair and rewear service, have partnered with The Cirkel resale site and use recycled materials where possible in our collections, including recycled polyester and sequins. Each item is designed to be timeless and we encourage you to cherish your Aspiga pieces for years to come.
