Last night, we hosted an inspiring Book Club evening at our Aspiga store with Belles Berry and Mariella Frostrup, celebrating the release of their new book, Menolicious: Eat Your Way to a Better Menopause, a fresh, honest take on food, wellness, and women’s health through menopause.

The evening kicked off with with Lucy, Belles, and Mariella, capturing the spirit of the event before guests arrived. As the store transformed into an intimate space for conversation, connection, and shopping we were delighted to welcome our partners Roebuck Estates and OHMG Water, who provided delicious drinks throughout the evening.

The Conversation

Lucy led the discussion with thoughtful questions that explored the story behind the book - from how Belles and Mariella met to what inspired them to write for women in menopause. 	They shared how their own experiences of perimenopause shaped the recipes and message of the book, blending nutrition with emotional wellness. Mariella spoke about the power of storytelling and connection, while Belles reflected on her food heritage and the influence of growing up with her mother, the legendary Mary Berry. Together, they discussed how food can empower women, ease symptoms such as hot flushes and anxiety, and bring comfort during life’s transitions. The warmth and openness of their exchange made the evening truly special.

Evening highlights
