THE ROLE: Buying Admin Assistant

A fast‑paced, hands‑on administrative role supporting both the Buying and Merchandising teams. This is ideal for a Level 1st/2nd jobber with strong organisational skills, a love of product, and a desire to grow within a fashion retail environment.

You’ll help keep the product lifecycle running smoothly — from sample management and supplier communication to data accuracy, reporting and supporting trading decisions. This role is perfect for someone who is proactive, detail‑driven and excited to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

Buying Support

  • Critical path management 
  • Update critical paths and flag risks or delays
  • Manage and track all samples: logging, organising, chasing suppliers, preparing for meetings
  • Maintain product information across internal systems
  • Raise purchase orders and ensure accuracy of cost prices, quantities and delivery dates
  • Support the buying team with supplier communication and follow‑ups
  • Prepare packs for range reviews, fit sessions and sign‑off meetings
  • Assist with competitor research, pricing checks and trend monitoring
  • Support with intake tracking and delivery schedules
  • Maintain accurate product data including attributes, pricing and launch dates
  • Assist with stock monitoring: replenishment, store queries, and best‑seller actions

Skills & Experience:

  • 1–2 years’ experience in a fashion retail environment

  • Strong Excel skills

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

  • Confident communicator with suppliers and internal teams

  • Comfortable working with numbers, data and spreadsheets

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment

  • Proactive, eager to learn and willing to get stuck in

  • Interest in fashion, product and the commercial side of retail

  • Experience with PLM or merchandising systems is a bonus

  • Keen interest in AI software and tools
