Aspiga partners with artisans and suppliers, primarily in Kenya and India, to create stylish clothing collections using natural, organic and sustainable materials. Having started as a wholesale business, Aspiga expanded into the online retail space before opening its first shop in 2019. Since then, we have continued to grow our retail presence alongside our online and wholesale channels.
THE ROLE: SENIOR BUYER
A hands-on, commercially minded Buyer who can quickly take ownership of core
categories and deliver strong, profitable collections. You’ll balance creativity with
commercial instinct, ensuring every range reflects Aspiga’s aesthetic and
responsible sourcing standards.
You’ll work closely with Design, Merchandising, Production, Technical, Marketing and
Ecommerce to deliver collections on time, on budget and aligned with customer
demand.
Key Responsibilities
- Own buying for designated womenswear categories
- Build balanced, commercially strong ranges aligned with Aspiga’s brand DNA
- Analyse sales, customer insights and market trends to guide decisions
- Manage OTB budgets, margins and stock targets
- Develop seasonal range plans with Design and Merchandising
- Source, negotiate and manage suppliers across international bases
- Maintain quality, ethical standards and on time delivery
- Oversee critical paths and resolve delivery issues
- Review pricing architecture to optimise profitability
- Attend fit sessions and ensure product meets quality and fit expectations
- Drive trading strategies on bestsellers
- Monitor competitor activity and premium womenswear trends

Support promotional and markdown planning
- Manage and develop the Buying Admin Assistant
- Oversee Design and Garment Tech teams
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
Essential:
- Proven Buyer or Senior Buyer experience in premium womenswear
- Strong commercial instinct with a track record of profitable ranges
- Confident analysing sales and performance data
- Experience managing international suppliers
- Strong negotiation skills balancing cost, quality and delivery
- Excellent understanding of product development and critical paths
- Collaborative, cross functional working style
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills
- Passion for responsible fashion and sustainable sourcing
- Curious about AI and keen to use it for efficiency
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with buying/merch systems
- Able to manage up and use founder time effectively
