Sex Education tells the story of Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) the shy, quiet son of a sex therapist (brilliantly played by Gillian Anderson) who starts his own teen relationship counselling service at sixth form college. Otis himself has little or no experience in the love making department but is surprisingly astute and successful in the advice that he imparts on others. Although aimed at young adults it’s reach seems to be far wider (it is rated 18). It’s beauty is that none of the sexually explicit scenes are gratuitous and it has the ability to make you laugh out loud one minute and emotionally move you the next.
