Last week, our Founder, Junior Designer, in house Model and Content Creator, and one of our Store Managers headed to India to meet our wonderful suppliers, shoot new content and discover new inspiration.

Behind the SS26 collection trip to India 

The trip was all about reconnecting with the incredible artisans who bring our designs to life, reviewing prototypes, and finalising prints, fabrics, and finishing details for the new season.

From Delhi to Jaipur

After landing in Delhi, the team headed straight from the airport to visit two of our trusted suppliers - a whirlwind start that ended with a long, rain-soaked journey back through Delhi’s infamous traffic.

The next day, the team split ways, Milly (junior designer) and Lucy (founder) flew to Jaipur, while Lou (store manager) and Cicley (model and content creator) took the four-and-a-half-hour drive, luggage tied to the roof, and made a quick stop at the iconic Patrika Gate for some content. Reunited at our supplier’s studio, we were greeted with flower garlands, bindhis, and not one but two cakes to celebrate both Milly’s birthday and Aspiga! The warmth and hospitality from our partners were unforgettable.

Craftsmanship and creation 

Over the trip, the team met the incredible artisans behind our block prints, watched the finishing touches being sewn onto our new jackets, and explored beautiful new fabrics that will shape our next collection. Seeing the level of skill and time that goes into every piece reminded us why we’re so proud to champion slow, conscious fashion.

Shoot days and celebrations

Our Jaipur shoot days were magical; early mornings, golden light, and the colourful chaos of the Pink City as our backdrop. We shot in palaces, courtyards, and our favourite outdoor studio, bringing SS26 to life. We also celebrated Milly's birthday in style at the stunning Bar Palladio and Rajmahal Palace - two of Jaipur’s most beautiful spots.

A heartfelt goodbye

Before flying home, we spent time with our block print makers, learning just how intricate the process is, from hand-carving the wooden blocks to layering each colour with precision. Every pattern tells a story, and seeing it firsthand was truly humbling.

We left India feeling inspired, grateful, and more connected than ever to the people who help bring our designs to life. SS26 is shaping up to be something really special - full of colour, craftsmanship, and heart.

The team are off to Barbados for our next shoot and store visit with our founder and operations executive, followed by a trip to Kenya visiting our suppliers, back where Aspiga all began.
