1. Your career journey has taken you from children’s television to property expertise and entrepreneurship. What inspired these transitions, and how have they shaped who you are today?

"I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, even as a child, I was setting up little businesses, from hair braiding to selling homemade pot pourri. I loved the idea of creating something from scratch and being financially independent. Performing was another huge passion, and after working behind the scenes in TV for four years I eventually moved into presenting on children’s television. At 19 I also invested in my first property and as my TV career evolved my property portfolio also grew. I found a passion for turning run-down wrecks into beautiful homes and I even renovated the local village shop and post office and created a coffee shop and bistro in the community. Over the last 24 years I’ve managed to blend a love of travel, property, and business into my career. Each chapter has taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of staying true to what inspires you."

2. As a presenter on A Place in the Sun, you’ve helped many find their dream homes abroad. How has this experience influenced your perspective on sustainable living and community building?

"Travelling extensively has given me a deep appreciation for the beauty, and fragility, of different environments and cultures. It’s made me much more conscious about sustainability, not just in how we build and buy homes, but in how we support local communities. I believe small, considered choices, from materials to community involvement, can make a huge difference."

3. Balancing a dynamic career with motherhood is no small feat. What strategies have you found most effective in maintaining this balance, and what advice would you offer to others navigating similar paths?

"When I became a mum, I was determined not to give up the career I’d worked so hard for. I’ve always found ways to involve my children where I could, taking them on filming trips and weaving work around family life. Organisation, asking for help when needed, and accepting that you can’t do everything perfectly all the time have been key. My advice to others is to give yourself grace, stay flexible, and know that it’s possible to chase your dreams while raising a family."

4. You’ve openly discussed personal challenges, including your health journey with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP). How has facing these challenges impacted your outlook on life and work?

"I was fortunate to grow up with an incredibly strong mother, who was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at just 28. She faced every challenge with positivity and determination, and continues to be a huge inspiration to me. My own health journey has taught me not to take anything for granted. It’s deepened my appreciation for good health, made me even more determined to embrace every opportunity, and instilled a focus on wellbeing, both personally and professionally."

5. Sustainability is at the heart of Aspiga. How do you incorporate sustainable practices into your daily life, both personally and professionally?

"Sustainability informs so many of my daily choices from choosing ethical fashion brands like Aspiga, to reducing single-use plastics and shopping locally whenever possible. It’s also something I try to pass on to my children, teaching them that small changes can have a big impact. Professionally, I’m increasingly focused on highlighting eco-friendly developments and encouraging greener living choices through my work in property. My last renovation in the UK involved turning an old house in to an eco friendly home and I managed to turn it from and EPC F to a B!"

6. Looking ahead, are there any upcoming projects or causes you’re passionate about that you’d like to share with us?

"I’m really excited about a few upcoming projects that bring together my love of property, travel, and making a difference!  I’ve been working on an educational project since last October which I’m launching soon. I’m passionate about empowering young people to reach their potential and inspiring others. I’ve been making over a property in Scotland, I’m renovating a property in Mallorca, I have my usual TV stuff and I’m just in the middle of recording series 2 of my podcast."

7. Aspiga celebrates women making a positive impact. Who are the women that inspire you, and why?

"I have been fortunate to be surrounded by strong, inspiring women throughout my life, starting with my mum. Her strength, positivity, and resilience have been a constant source of inspiration. I am so lucky to have some incredible friends and we all support each other. Women who lift others up and use their experiences to inspire and empower are the ones who truly leave a lasting legacy."
